Housekeeping…
July 5, 2020
Hi!
These past few weeks have just flown, and I know I’m late, but Happy 4th July to our friends in the States, and I do hope you all enjoyed your day. You at least have nice warm weather now – it’s a bit cold and windy here in Australia today, and whilst I don’t want to wish time away, I would really like it to warm up a bit for us again. I hope you’re all staying safe and well, and that you’re finding plenty of time to quilt and sew.
Our July Online Quilt Magazine will be out in the next few days, and there’s a couple of fun things I wanted to let you know about first. This month we review some fantastic scissors from Sewline, and we have a gift box set to Giveaway, so make sure you read about that when you receive your magazine.
Secondly, we’re thrilled to introduce a new regular contributor this month too. Shelly is the organising genius behind the 28 Day Challenge, and in this free email based challenge, she will help any of you who need to get your sewing rooms organised, so you can find things as you need them, and spend time creating rather than sorting.
She’s also running an online class on Tuesday the 7th July. It’s for North America timing, but there will be a replay available for anyone that can’t come live. Here’s the link… https://sew-spacious.com/the-easy-class-on-how-to-create-the-ultimate-sewing-room-using-effective-storage-options/ .
Shelly is offering a good discount for this class, and it’s set to happen at July 7th at 11am PST (Vancouver time) so that would be 4am Wednesday July 8th for Australian Eastern time. Those of us with the early time slot don’t have to get up at 4am (although you can if you want to) but you will get a recording of the class sent to you soon after (within a day). Shelly also invites people to submit questions ahead of time so that she can cover everything that you might want to know.
I think that’s it for housekeeping for today (the fun kind, that is)… the dishes on the sink are looking at me, and there’s a pile of washing still to sort….sigh.
Rather be creating!
Have a great week,
